Stevie - What Did He Do in the Winter?

Postby mike cronin » Sun Dec 02, 2007 12:26 pm

I was wondering what Stevie the Ice Cream man did in the winter?

I had an in-law that was the "Stevie" of Morris Park and I think he drove a cab in the winter months?

Maybe Stevie made enough $ on our nickels & dimes to take the winter off!

Anyone ever see him in the winter?

DEAR JOHN,
MY OLDER BROTHER JUNIOR/VINCE, KWAS ONE OF STEVIE'S FAVORITE KIDS. HE KEPT IN TOUCH W/ HIM FOR YEARS. STEVE WORKED IN FLORIDA AS A CHIEF, FOR THE HOTELS IN THE WINTER. THATS WHY HE CAME EVERY SPRING, COMPLETELY TANNED. WONDER IF HE IS STILL ALIVE!

Just out of curiosity, do we know what Stevie's last name is (or was)?

hi sweetie,
will ask my brother vince. he was very close to him for many years. when vince/junior was in the air force & especially when he was in vietnam. stevie always asked my mom, "HOW'S MY JU-JU DOING?" never junior, vinny or vincent. always ju-ju. when ever he was home on leave. the moment he knew stevie was downstairs, he would run out to see him. picture vince 6'2", hugging stevie. i still remember when vince left for viet nam & how steve got all teary eyed ,when saying goodbye. i know that stevie was greek. a lot of people thought he was italian. just wanted to share that. he was an important part of my brother's life. especially after my dad died. he helped keep vince out of some trouble.
