Incredibly, the physical location of the shows production was Biograph Studios at 807 E. 175th St., between Prospect and Marmion Avenues , one block south of the Cross Bx. Ineterestingly, there was an episode where the boys pulled over Hugh Downs on the newly built
Cross Bx. for a traffic stop. The studi , which had been established by Thomas Edison, was moved from its lower Manhattan location to this location in 1913. It stopped doing a lot of major films as early as 1916, but continued under a succession of different owners right up until the 60's. Eventually it became a location for TV production, although parts of major films were produced there, including A Face in the Crowd with Andy Griffith in the 50's, in which he played a crooked southern politician named Lonesome
