Hi All - I read in Saturday NY Post - PS 102 is in danger of being closed due to not making the grades based on current test results.

hi,

i have been working for the NY Dept Of Ed for some time now. when a school ois failing. they close it. then re-open it under another name. they become "charter" schools or academies. which means: the mayor hires some person w/out edeucation background to run the school. then we taxpayers have to pay for all the consultants & idiots that get involved. did i mention they are also union busters. thankfully some of teh charter schools are now begging to join the u.f.t. & dc37. by the time they announce a chool may close. they already have the blue prints done. sorry!!! it was the school that educated all 5 of the Ferracano's...so its a sore spot for me too. but i work in another Bx school. which is being taken over by some young "business" minded idiot!!!
