KELLY - Liam (William), entered into eternal rest on June 7, 2011 in his 89th year. He was born September 29, 1922 in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone, Ireland. He is survived by his loving wife Peggy of 64 years, son Kieran and daughters Ellis, Shelia, Una, and Bernadette. He was a loving Grandfather of eight and Great-Grandfather of seven; with an eigth due in September. He is also survived by Sister Mary Little; Brothers Kevin, Eamon, Malachy and many nieces and nephews in Ireland. Liam was a retired assistant Chief Superintendant of M.A.B.S.T.A. He was a steadfast Irish Republican, who devoted his life to the cause of Irish freedom. He was a volunteer in the Irish Republican Army and later found Saor Uladh, ("Free Ulster"). He was elected to the House of Commons of Northern Ireland (1953-1958) and was a member of Seanad Eireann (1954-1957). Liam was distinguished by having been the only person to simultaneously hold elected offices as Senator in the Republic of Ireland and member of Parliament in Northern Ireland.
