I know members of this board like their Archer St trivia so try this one.
Who is responsible for naming the Aardvarks?
How was the name determined?

Kudos to John Tell. It was in fact Jackie Burke who came up with the idea of the Aardvarks.
Here is the story. After much discussion trying to come up with a name that members of the team could agree upon Jackie offered that we take our name from the first noun in the dictionary. That word of course was Aardvark and so the legend was born.
Now can anyone come up with the words to the Aardvark fight song?

Not a good guess John. Tommy Curley was never a member of the Aardvarks. He came too the neighborhood much later.
Also there was no fight song that would have been much too corney. I just wanted to see what you would come up with. LOL.
