St Patrick's Day - Years Gone By

Postby info » Sun Mar 15, 2015 12:22 pm

While the majority of St Paddy'd day activities were held in Manhattan, there was always the after parade parties in the old neighborhood. Although not old enough to drink, I do remember capacity crowds at Sullivans, The Beer Bar and even Carey's, your typical Old Man's Drinking Bar. We used to go to my cousin Matt Adams Bar on Westchester near Beach and have a Corned Beef Dinner there! Good Times - and I imagine good $$$ for the bars/delis, etc

Even though those days are gone, we can still see a lot of good friends from the old neighborhood at the local pubs in Throggs Neck on the day of the Annual St. Patrick's Parade on East Tremont.
